The Samahang Makasining (Artist Club), Inc. thru the initiative of Elito "Amangpintor" Circa in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Pantabangan led by Mayor Roberto T. Agdipa and Tourism Office headed by Emisonia C. Gante conducted the On-The-Spot Painting Contest entitled "Ako at ang Lahi ko sa kasaysayan ng Pantabangan" on April 28, 2017.
The beneficial On-The-Spot Painting Competition was the first art activity in Pantabangan in celebration of the Pandawan Festival this year which composed of three categories such as Category A ranging from ages 7-17, Category B ages 18-39 and Category C ages 40 and above. The contest began at 1:00 in the afternoon at the public gymnasium participated by 34 artists from different barangay of Pantabangan.
Engr. Cesar Macalinao, club president of the Rotary Club of San Jose Golden Harvest gave an inspirational talk. After his speech he introduced the lecturer, Elito Circa aka Amangpintor who delivered basic Art lectures and performed actual hand painting demonstration in front of the audience held beside the Municipal Hall of Pantabangan. The audience particularly the kids witnessed how the artist/lecturer created paintings using his palm and fingers only within five minutes using three primary colors Red, Yellow and Blue with White.
The RC San Jose Golden Harvest sponsored medals and trophies for the winners, whereas, the Producers Bank of Pantabangan also one of the sponsors selected and awarded the Producers Bank Best Choice Award. The organizers also selected the Rotary Club Best Choice Award, Reimbrandt Best Choice Award, Anta's Earth Farm Best Choice Award, Design360 Best Choice Award. The judges were Esteve Griswold from Rotary Club of Eugene Airport USA, Danilo Talplacido "Ipa Painter" and Guy Aliam.
Among the sponsors for the prizes were Mayor Roberto T. Agdipa and minor prizes were Arch. Rommel Dullas owner of the Reimbrandt Design and Construction.
Also, the Anta's Earth Farm managed by Engr. Harry Lameg together with the SAS Batch 87 headed by Angkie Isidro and Riza Capuyon and Jhen Resto Bar headed by Jayson Buenconsejo contributed consolation prizes for the said contest.
